The Fuel Tank Sender Unit sits in the top of the fuel tank, and operates with a float to relay the fuel level to the gauge on the dashboard. If the fuel gauge in your Jaguar is giving false readings, have a competent person remove the Sender Unit to see if it can be repaired, or requires replacement.
