The Fuel Pump in your Jaguar works to supply a constant flow of fuel from the tank to the fuel system in the engine bay. A failed fuel pump won't supply any fuel to the engine, and your Jaguar will not start. Sometimes the pump may just stop working, but occasionaly you will hear a rough whirring noise coming from the back of the car which would indicate a failing pump. If this happens, or you feel like your Jaguar loses power when under load, have your Jaguar inspected by a competent person who has the equipment to diagnose the fault correctly.
