The Spark Plug Boss Seal is a flexible gasket that sits between the Camshaft Cover and Cylinder Head of your engine, around the holes where you'd access the spark plugs. Over time, the gaskets can go hard and engine oil can seep out under pressure. You might notice a smell of warm fumes, a pool of oil in the galleries around the spark plugs, and occasionally a misfire too.  Have your Jaguar checked over for leaks by a competent person who will clean the engine properly and run it to see where the leaks are coming from.
