A Cylinder Head Insert, or Camshaft Plug is a small semi-circular piece that fills the space in the Cylinder Head where a Distributor would fit if your Jaguar had one. A leaking Camshaft Plug will result in oil seeping down the side of the engine from the top. Have your Jaguar checked over for leaks by a competent person who will clean the engine properly and run it to see where the leaks are coming from.
