The Water Pump is a key part in your Jaguar that works in conjunction with the thermostat to maintain the optimal operating temperature of your Jaguar's engine. If your water pump is faulty the engine can't properly cool itself, which will lead to overheating and the possibility of a very expensive repair indeed further along the way. If you have noticed a coolant leak from the front of your Jaguar's engine, or possibly a rattling noise coming from the pump pulley, or maybe even that the temperature gauge is rising above normal while sitting at idle in traffic, you must have the cooling system in your Jaguar inspected by a competent person as soon as you can.
