The VVT Solenoid fits into the Timing Cover on your Jaguar, and has a sealing ring to prevent oil seeping between the Solenoid and the Timing Cover. If you notice oil misting or seeping past the seal, have a competent person check over your Jaguars engine for leaks, and replace any leaking seals.
