The Subframe on your Jaguar is mounted to the chassis by flexible mounting bushes. These mounting bushes allow for flexibility while maintaining a fixed position. Over time, like any other rubber bushes, these can perish and deteriorate allowing for more movement than is permissible. If you notice any knocking noises coming from underneath the front of your Jaguar as you travel over bumps in the road, have the suspension system and bushes checked over by a competent person who can diagnose and replace any worn parts as required.
