The Cylinder Head Gasket in your Jaguar's engine is sandwiched between the engine block and the cylinder head. The cylinder head gasket on your Jaguar has holes in it to allow the flow of engine oil and coolant. A failed cylinder head gasket can show in a variety of ways, and means either a loss of compression in the cylinder bores into the oilway or coolant system, or can allow coolant and oil to mix. If you have a lot of yellow gunk in your Jaguar's engine oil system, or you have oil in the coolant system, or maybe your Jaguar produces a lot of steam out the exhaust, these are a few of many symptoms you should get checked out by a competent person. Any time you remove the cylinder head from your Jaguar's engine block, for example when replacing the cylinder head gasket, you must replace the cylinder head bolts too.
