The Alternator Drive Belt is a durable belt that drives the alternator from your Jaguar's engine crank pulley. If your Alternator Belt breaks while driving, your battery will stop charging, and eventually your Jaguar will break down as the voltage drops and triggers faults in all sorts of sensors and control units around your Jaguar. A worn Alternator Belt will start to crack and perish, or go hard and glossy. You will likely hear a chirping or squeaking noise from your Jaguar's engine bay as an early sign that you should have your Jaguar inspected by a competent person and replace any worn parts.
